Blocking Tools from Certain Members

I swear I can remember during the Groove Bootcamp that I attended a couple of
months ago that you could block a certain tool from a Guest or Participant
but still have Managers be able to use the tool within the workspace. Is
this possible or am I mixing this up with something else?

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The only thing I can find is setting the properties of the tool by right
clicking on the tool tab and setting the properties for that tool. In the
form tool it self I can then setup the access for a form or a view in the
Options tab when creating a form. as well as indicating individual members
to use a form.

Hi,

I agree with Marc. Further more, you can select options -> set roles ->
permission to assign the right of add tools and delete tools to a responsible
role.

A long time ago, Groove had the ability to hide a tool from certain
users. People were using this as a security mechanism, when it wasn't -
if the 'blocked' person made a backup of the space and restored it, they
became manager of the newly restored copy and could see all the
information in the space.

Use a separate space for people separate concerns. You can create a
Workspace folder and stick the two spaces together so that you've got
some consistency of organization.
