If you're very new to VBA then the 'Dummies' series has a good book called
'VBA for dummies'. It's not a Word specific book, but the examples are well
documented so that changes can be made to accomodate various VBA packages,
certainly got me on the road to learning VBA.

The best VBA books are those written for Excel VBA.
That's a good place to start to pick up fundamentals, e.g., the MSFT Press
Excel VBA Step by Step, tho targeted to Excel, has lots of stuff that
applies to Word VBA.
My personal preference, from those I've seen, is the
Word 2000 VBA Programmer's Reference from WROX press,
although that may be out of print, so you'd have to look
for a used copy.
