Broadcasting Powerpoint and TV on Plasma?

Hi there, we are trying to set up something a bit enterprising, but
have no idea if it is possible to combine these two things.

Basically, we would like to display a powerpoint file on a plasma
display in our lobby (which is working) and then every 30 minutes
switch from displaying the powerpoint to displaying a live TV news feed
over cable.

I know how to do either one separately, but switching inputs is a bit
difficult. Is there any way powerpoint can do this, or Producer? Or
maybe something else?

Thank you

Is the plasma a TV or just a monitor? What are you using as a tuner?
The plasma should have a 15 pin VGA connector for 1 input.
If you're using a VCR as a tuner you can use the composite (RCA) input
for the TV video and use a remote to change inputs. Have you been
change the cables manually? What exactly has been difficult with switching
the inputs? I know Producer doesn't do anything live yet. If you have a
tuner
for the computer you can set an action button to open the TV application and
set it to full screen. But using a remote or the monitor to switch the inputs
would be smoother.

If you have the hardware all working (and it sounds like you do) then I'd
suggest having a slide with your TV "control" placed on it or linking to the
TV app. and activate it as a package.
