PPT allows four levels of bullets in a list. I want to go further to the
right but it will not let me. Is there a way to do this?

further to the right or to the left? To the right is normally no problem.

But if meant to the left: press CTRL, hold it down and then push the
triangle in the ruler further to the left.

5 levels is the maximum you can go. If you are having only four levels, you
can add the 5th level bullet through slide master (View > Master > Slide
Master).
