Bullets Appear when Pasting

Hello,

Why do I get bullets whenever I copy from one document to another? I turned off automatic bullets and numbering, but I still get bullets. On the smart tag, I clicked "use destination styles" and/or also "match destination formatting" and still get bullets.

Thanks for your help.

I failed to mention....I am using Word 2003 on XP. The document I am copying from was done in Word 2002 on XP, which includes text copied from a Website.

Thanks!

Hi MB

Try Edit > Paste Special and paste as Unformatted text. That will rip out
any formatting and insert plain text.

For an explanation of what is probably going on behind the scenes, see:
Why does text change format when I copy it into another document?

Hope this helps.
