business card printing

Okay, I know that this is probably really simple, but I
cannot figure it out, so please help!

I can easily design a good business card using Publisher,
but when it comes time to print the thing the layout is
all wrong. The Publisher template is five cards down a
center column, but the standard Avery template is five
cards down two columns - 2 cards side-by-side. Nothing I
do seems to change this basic layout. I have been
designing my document in Publisher and using Word to
print it since Word accepts the Avery template. This is
time consuming and nuts! What am I missing here? Thanks

Go to the "Change Copies per sheet" dialog, and change the margins so that
it matches up with your cardstock.

Perhaps I am being really dense today, but when I did as
suggested I still ended up with a poor result. Manually
setting the margin everytime seems pretty difficult.
Business cards are a fairly standard item - isn't there
some type of standard template that I can use without
having to alter the page setup then having to experiment
until I finally get the result I want? Back to the
original statement...I must be very dense here today!

When I did this I used Avery code 8871. This prints 2 colums of 5 with no space between the rows or
columns.

This is with version 2003 so I'm not sure if it's in earlier versions.

Shoya which version Windows and Publisher are you using. There are major
differences in which way things operate/function in the various versions.
