Business Contact Manager

I saw this on the web page for Office 2003 Professional:
"note: Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2003 will be
disabled in the presence of a Microsoft Exchange-
technologies-based e-mail system". Does this mean that
BCM will not work if MS Exchange is being used for E-Mail?

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Chuck asked:
