I did the mail merge, but the problem is that it creates
and individual page for each ticket. So ticket one, has
an entire sheet of 8 tickets for it. I cannot set up the
sheet to print tickets 1-8 on a single sheet. Its either
eight of ticket one, or 1 ticket one on the center of the
ticket.

Set the document so that the page size is equal to a single ticket. Then
under the print menu change the page options to print multiple copies on a
single sheet. From page options click custom options to adjust the spacing.
This is how it's done with Pub2000. For newer versions, the principle is the
same, but I think the wording is slightly different.
