calendar appointments that automatically transfer into the new yea

I'm trying to put certain dates (particularly office birthdays) into a
calendar, but I want it to automatically transfer to the next year without
having to put all of the dates in again.

Is this possible? Any program is fine with me (Outlook, Excel, Word...), as
long as it works.
