Calendar Invitations Are Scrambled

My invitations for calendar entries in Outlook 2000 are sent out as
scrambled messages and
they never let the invitee accept or decline the invitation. In addition, I
never have the ability to accept someone else's calendar entries. Please
help. Thanks.
