Calendar Reminder

I missed an important meeting this morning. How can I put calendar remonder
on desk top or task bar so the meeting reminder activates. I want to do this
without having outlook open all the time. Ideas? Thank you.

Outlook must be running for reminders to work. Start it as soon as you logon to the computer and let it run in the tray.
