Calendar reminders won't come up when scheduled

I've set up recurring reminders that won't come up when they are scheduled.
The start time and end time are the same. I've scheduled them to come up
weekly, but nothing ever shows. Any ideas what the problem might be?

I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2003. I have something I want to come up every
Monday at 9. I have the recurrence to weekly, Monday, Start time 9AM, Stop
time 9AM, no end date. Nothing has ever come up for this or anything in the
calendar. I'm new to Microsoft Outlook, so I'm assuming I'm missing
something.
I don't see anywhere to set a reminder.
I appreciate your help.
