Calendar template

B

Bill

Using Publisher 2007, under vista.

I can get to select months using the templates for calendars that came with
Publisher. Today I tried getting some templates from MS online and I found a
real nice one listed under 2007.

I cannot figure out how to get the date on the template to change to 2008.

Would appreciate any help if it can be done.

Thanks
Bill

Which template is it? I don't think you can apply a new date range with the
photo calendars, looks as though all the photos are different.

Might create a new calendar with the date range you prefer and do copy/paste.
Its not too tough to change dates in calendars, they are tables and tabbing
through the numbers is easy enough.

If you select the template inside of Publisher's Getting Started screen,
look at the righthand panel, bottom half, under Options. "Set Calendar
dates" will allow you to select a starting and stopping date.

If it's a template you downloaded straight from MS's site, when it's opened
look at the Tasks panel. Calendar Options - Change template. that will take
you to the Getting Started screen where you can follow the step in the first
paragraph.

Thanks Mary and JoAnn for the quick reply

It is a publisher template I downloaded from MS web site. It was under the
2007 category. I thought the 2007 meant designed in 2007 rather than the
actual year 2007 if you get what I mean

I did open the template but when I go to change template and then change
dates it does not apply it to my downloaded template, it replaces mine with
one of the templates from inside publisher. I even tried both options to
apply to my publication or use as new publication and either way I lose my
template

Maybe templates are hard wired and cant be changed.

Thanks again
Bill

It appears that they don't have the wizard. Changing them manually will be a
bit of a pain but at least it's not a horribly difficult task. (Just a bit
mind-numbing.)

Thanks for that. I am sort of learning about this stuff. You mean the
template wasn't designed with a wizard? Is this wizard built into publisher?

The templates have options rather than wizards. You can change a date range,
page orientation and other objects in the calendar dialogue. This is true with
most of all the templates. The wizards are missing in the Design Gallery
elements in Publisher 2007. This is a bug that hopefully will be fixed in a
future service pack.

If you notice none of the built in calendars in Publisher have round dates.
Someone did a great job designing the calendar on the Office site.
