Call other documents for printing purposes

Hi Is there anyway to set up a document that can call other documents so
they can be printed following one another.

I am trying to print various combinations of documents in a booklet format
and
1) would like to keep those documents separate for editing purposes
2) be able to edit one document and then that would apply to all instances
of that document being called rather than having to edit several copies of
the same document.

I hope that makes sense.

The first part makes sense; the second not (to me, anyway): what sort of
edits do you want to make to one document that will apply to all of them? I
think the answer to the first point will depend on what you have in mind for
the second.
