I would would like to customize a PowerPoint **MENU** so that I can start
another application.

For example, I like to add a shortcut or a run command to a Menu to start
Shiam Pillai's "Shape Console.exe".

Is this possible?

Hi John

You can add a hyperlink to anything to any menu/toolbar but when I
experimented it just caused multiple irritating security warnings. Instead, I
would add a shortcut to my windows quicklaunch toolbar on the taskbar. To do
this first make sure you're quicklaunch toolbar is on (see here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/tips/quicklaunch.mspx) then
drag the .exe onto the toolbar from windows explorer - it will automatically
create a shortcut for you. Then you can launch with one click :)

Thanks for investigating, Lucy.

I had already added a short cut to my favorites

Hi John

Which favourites have you added it to? Is there a reason why you want to be
able to launch it from a menu rather than from the quick launch on your
taskbar? I only ask as I use my quick launch for all my favourite progammes -
so much easier than trawling through the start menu :)

The reason I used favorites?

Baciscally, I was already reordering some of my entries in favorites :}
But also I reserve quick launch for stuff I use everyday which is critical to
my workflow and it seems like the more I have in there (it might be my
imagination) the slower the booting process.
