Can I add a legend to the *.gif file produced by the copy picture(camera) icon

Strasser

I now use electronic anotating, via the Drawing toolbar, to add
comments to the *.gif file produced with the camera icon (copy picture
of what is on the screen).

Can I add a legend to the *.gif file, as I do when printing to paper?

Thanks if you are responding.

Strasser,

The little camera icon creates a graphic image of the screen into a GIF
file. The legend you see is a result of a different function in
Project, that being a report. Yes, seems like they should be the same
but they aren't.

What you could do is import the GIF file into another drawing/graphics
package where you can add a legend. Lots of tools available. Perhaps
use PowerPoint where you can create a legend with PowerPoint's drawring
tools left bottom corner and paste the GIF file into place, scaling it
so it looks "right"

You also could use a drawing program to put a legend on the bottom right
corner of the GIF file; however, probably will over-write something in
the image as there are now margins.

Hi Strasser,

Sorry, no. The legend is a print-only option. So, short of
printing to a PDF printer through File > Print, manually adding the
information as Rob suggested is the best option.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
