can i change the read receipt

actually nothing specific its just that when i
receive the read receipt from bigs companies they personalized like they
have their name and other details, so i thought if they can modify it why
cant I !!!

Are you sure this is a read receipt (sent by the server) and not an Out of
Office Reply (customizable in the client)? Do you have access to the mail
server?

this could be it.

at my company we have numerous mailboxes that are purely viewed and
processed elsewhere in the company. when we first set up the mailboxes we
logged in on the server setting them as a primary mailbox. on that, we then
set an Out Of Office message saying, "thank you for your email...etc, etc".
this will class as the receipt that i think ks is referring to, and indeed
that Milly suggested.
