I used to be a type setter and am frustrated by not being able to mandate
exact line spacing (leading) in Word documents using point increments. Is
there a way to do this?

Hi Susann,

Word is not page layout software, but text reflow software.
You can set line height in Format=>Paragraph. Using the
'exact' setting for line height, not line spacing, will
be in pts. Other settings may reflect the choice in
Tools=>Options=>General
