Can I import my team's schedules from Outlook into Project?

I wish to be able to import my team's individual Outlook schedules into
Project. For example, if team member #1 has a 4 hour meeting in their
Outlook calander, can this info be exported to Project? This would enable me
to accurately allocate each projects resources. Is this possible?

Hello,
Yes, it's possible.
In your Home page of PWA (I assume you are using Project Server) click the
Work with Outlook link, then download the Outlook add-in.

I plan to purchase Project 2003 professional and I do not have Project
Server. Is Project Server required or can I export / import the data
manually?

As far as I know, Project Professional and Project server are mandatory for
the feature.
NB : Project Professional without Project Server doesn't do anything more
than Project Standard
