Can I make a curve half solid and half dotted?

I want to make a graph of exponential decay curves that start at some
y-value on an x-y graph and decay over time (x) to some lower y-value.

Some of these will decay rapidly and others more slowly.

Then I want to draw a vertical line somewhere on the x axis. I want
the decay curve to be a solid line to the left of that vertical line
and a dotted line to the right.

Is there any way to do that?

Not being facetious, but couldn't you stop a solid curve at that point and
continue with a dotted curve from that point on? Thus having two joined
curves.

Easy
Draw the curves.
Draw the intersecting vertical line(s)
Select curve(s) and lines(s) (hold Shift to select multiple shapes)
Shape | Operations | Trim (this trims or slices shapes/lines at their
intersection)
Select required curve portions on right of vertical line
Format to dotted line etc.

To echo what the other posters have written, you need to split the curve
into two separate pieces. Each Visio shape only allows one type of line
format. You need 2 shapes to have 2 line formats.

I actually tried that, but I couldn't get the two curves to flow into
each other smoothly. They always looked like two separate curves with
a little bump where they joined up.

If these were regular curves (like circles or even ellipses), that
would be the thing to do. But these are distorted arcs. I am trying to
simulate an exponential decay curve. Actually, a series of overlapping
exponential decay curves. The dotted portion would be to show were the
curve would have gone if the newer curve had not occurred.
