Can I use microsoft office (word)professional on xp home edition?

I need help with micrsoft office install. I have xp home edition and I have
no office programs etc, word, excel, acess, powerpoint, frongpage and
outlook on my system. My questions is can I install microsoft xp
professional on my xp home edition or can I download any office programs from
microsoft download. Thanks in advance

You cannot download a full version Office. If you have a retail version of
Office that you aren't using, then yes. If you have a copy of Office that
came with another computer, then no.

You can install any Microsoft Office Package on XP Home that you are
willing to pay for. You can't download any released Office packages, but
rather need to obtain them on CD.
I would be extremely careful if you chose to buy Office from some online
store. A lot of them will sell you bootlegged software. If you have to
buy with an online shop, go with a very reputable one.
Office Professional is not cheap and will cost you several hundred
dollars. For example, amazon.com sells Office 2003 Professional for
$380.
