Can I use Office to create bar codes?

I want to create bar code labels for products that are already packaged. Are
there any Office plug-ins that provide that functionality? or is it natively
available?

You can search the Office Online assistance site or Office Marketplace for
"barcodes". There are several hits that may meet your needs.
