Can I use XP/OneNote 2003 bundled disk to install OneNote on Vista

My previous laptop was supplied with OneNote 2003 bundled on the Windows XP
Recovery Disk. Can I use this disk to install OneNote on my new Toshiba P200
running Vista Home Premium?

I wanted some expert advice before I give it a try as I don´t want to
jeopardise my Vista configuration by confusing it with the XP disks.

What do you think please?

The application doesn't care what OS you install it on as long as it meets
the minimum system requirements - XP or Vista is fine.

That doesn't mean there might not be licensing issues; but from a technical
standpoint it won't matter.

I don´t think I made it clear that OneNote is physically on the XP system
disk so my concern is that when I insert the disk it will attempt to install
XP and corrupt Vista.

Well, it won't install anything without asking you. Sort of depends upon
how they've created the disk - if the disk is a restore image of the entire
system, including the apps, then you're probably out of luck. If the disk
gives you the option to just install the application then you should be able
to do that.

Or you could just buy a retail version of OneNote and not have to worry
about it. :)
