Can MS Works open MS Word documents ?

Can MS Works open MS Word documents ?

I do not have MS word. I have an XP PC. It has MS Works.

If yes, how do I make this happen ?

Hi Ava,

Both MS Windows Wordpad (Start=>Programs=>Accessories)
and the MS Works wordprocessor (if you have "MS Works Suite"
you would then also have MS Word) can open MS Word documents
but neither supports all of the features of MS Word, so
you may not get a document that looks quite as the author
may have intended, but most 'day to day' documents will
be usable.
