Can Not Access Newly Installed MS Office Pro 2003

E

Evan

Just bought a new HP Computer with Windows XP Media edition. Bought MS
Office Professional seperately and installed it, (Full Installation)
everything went fine and I got the successful installation message. Now that
I try and open Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point they all want my
personal information and the Key code. OK that is fine but when I put that
information in it comes back with the error "You have not entered a valid
Product Key ....". have tried both upper and lower case and a number of
other typical things like rebooting the computer. During the initial setup
it had asked for the personal information and the key code in the box where
you put it in with no spaces or dashes and at that time it took it fine and
proceeded with the install. what gives? is it something to do with user
accounts? I have not set up any new ones from the original HP_Administrator
and that is where I installed it under.

Your directions were perfect, I am up and running all the parts of MS Office.
Step 4 on that web site is a little week on what exactly needs to be
removed. I had to remove both the factory installed one and the new one and
reboot the computor and then reinstall the new one before it worked right.

Thanks though, it was what the doctor ordered, Evan
