Can Office 2007 Plus co-exist with earlier versions of Office?

I'm new here ... so be gentle I've used "Live Search", Google etc. and
could not find my answer.

I downloaded and installed the free test verision of Office 2007 Plus last
month to a test system.
I have another test system that I use with Office 2000 Professional
installed on it.
Can these two verision of Office co-exist on the same TEST system?

Except for Outlook 2007, it will not install on a system with a prior version of Outlook.
