Can Project calendar be linked to display in MS outlook calendar

If I bulid a project in MS Project, can the calendar be linked to MS Outlook
calendar

hi Carl,
If you were using MS Project Server, then you can link the tasks (calendar
implied) with Outlook. Without Project Server there is no link available (but
it can be coded in VBA). Following applies if you were using MS Project
Server.

To easily transfer project tasks to Microsoft Outlook 2000 or later,
Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003 provides the Outlook Integration
Wizard. This Component Object Model (COM) add-in is downloadable from the
Tasks page in Project Web Access 2003. In the side pane, click View and
report on your tasks from your Outlook calendar. On the Work with Outlook
page, click Download Now to install the Outlook Integration Wizard COM
add-in.

After installing the wizard, it can be used in Outlook to import Project
Professional 2003 tasks from the Project Web Access timesheet to the Outlook
calendar, where they can be viewed alongside existing appointments. Once
tasks are imported in the Outlook calendar, progress on those tasks can be
reported to Project Server directly from Outlook.

I'm using Project 2003 Pro, not Project Server. I don't have Project Web
Access either. Is there any way to download the COM add-in without having to
install Project Server or Project Web Access? (I see your suggestion to code
it in VBA, but I'm a VBA-neophyte.)

Hello Warren,

Project 2003 had the ability to run the "workgroup message handler"
which existed in previous releases.

Please not this is no longer supported by Microsoft feature (you can't
call them for support) but it may get you partially there.

Could Outlook update these tasks if the date of completion were to change?
Also, does Project export tasks into the Outlook task list only or also the
the clanedar? Can I set reminders for tasks through Project or do I need to
do it in Outlook?
