can project data mine from an Access database

Our database contains all the information for jobs in a manufacturing
company, but whilst we can allocate jobs to operators we cannot schedule. Is
it possible for project tables to be linked in access.

No.

However project schedules rarely need to be up to the minute accurate. You
can however run queries and VBA macros to copy/sync data in an access
Project database so the schedule updates next time it's opened. The file
pjdb.htm in one of Project's program folders is essential reading and needs
to be thoroughly understood.
