Can you remove a company name from the licensing information?

When I bought my computer and registered it, I was working for a company I
thought I would be with for a long time (at least until I replaced the
computer), so I registered it in my name with the company name too (even
though I purchased the system myself). Well, things changed and I'm not with
that company anymore and I would like to remove the name from the licensing
information. Is there any way to do that?

If you have a legal licence there is no problem, remove and reinstall it. It
will take about 10 to 30 minutes, depends the software.

Thanks. I tried that, I think (I uninstalled and reinstalled MS Office), but
it didn't ask for the information again, so it's still there. Is the program
what I'm supposed to remove and re-install or something else?
