HI, I've just installed Office 2007 Ultimate. This is the premium product,
is totally legal and not any kind of Beta or "early release" version.
I had previously used Office 2000 and I chose the "Upgrade" installation
option and opted to "keep all previous versions".
Now I have several problems / issues.
1) Everytime I start Word 2007, it prompts me to "activate". I try to
activate over the internet (as recommended). I select "Next" and after less
than 1 second, it promptly reports that "A communications error has
occurred. Your request cannot proceed at this time. Please try again in a
few minutes.". I started out with 24 attempts and I am now down to 8. Please
help!
2) I cannot get Word 2007 to print. It will "Print Preview" just fine but
when I try to print, my printer spits out a blank page. Since Office 2007
installation, I now cannot even print using Notepad. I can however, print a
printer test page.
3) I now cannot get Word 2000 to start. When I try, I get "Please wait while
Windows configures Office 2000 Premium", a brief progress bar and then a
white screen and it goes in to a "Program not responding" state in Task
Manager.
Any help on any of these issues would be greatly appreciated.
