Cannot download Office 2003 templates

I have not been able to download ANY templates from MS for the past few
weeks. I have done so in the past with no problem. (See
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/default.aspx ). I can get to all
the template pages, but the "Download" links are plain dead.

I have MS Office in my Trusted Zone; I have ActiveX "enabled" in Manage
Add-ons; I turned off Script Blocking in Norton; I completely disabled my
firewall; and still no go. This is very frustrating, and any help will be
gratefully appreciated.

Hello Chris,

The options provided in the below links have all been done. I run Acronis
Privacy Expert which cleans everything but the dishes in the kitchen sink. I
just ran a Detect and Repair which was useless as well.

One thing I did realize is that I do not have the "Microsoft Office Template
and Media Control" option in Tools > Manage Add-ons which may be the crux of
the problem. If I don't have it, I can't enable it, and if the site doesn't
offer it as an ActiveX download, I can't install it. Seems to be a bit of a
catch-22 here.

Thank you for your response, and I will post in the IE forum tomorrow. I've
had it for tonight. I've spent several hours on this today and batted zero.
Maybe a good night's sleep will help.

Regards,
H. Kaur

I'm running XP Pro - SP2
