Cannot install Office 2007

M

Mark Stevens

Got an interesting problem with Office 2007 installation.

I originally downloaded and installed Office 2007 from MSDN when the
RTm version became available. Now this is a newly installed PC so it
had never seen office. The registered Office OK. I then installed
the additional components (Project, Visio etc.). Now MSDN gave me
identical keys for several of the additional components. So Project
registered OK but Visio did not.

Just logged on to MSDN and it has given me new keys. So I uninstalled
the original additional components (except Project and Office which
all registered correctly). I have just tried to install the
components which have not installed correctly and I receive the
following error message:

"The 2007 Microsoft Office System does not support upgrading from a
prerelease version of the 2007 Microsoft Office System. You must
uninstall any prerelease version of the 2007 Microsoft Office system
products and associated technologies"

Now this has me beat as the system has never seen any MS beta
software. It is a new Vista x64 system with a new Office
installation.

Anyone able to help?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

uninstall any prerelease version of the 2007 Microsoft Office system
products and associated technologies"

Now this has me beat as the system has never seen any MS beta
software. It is a new Vista x64 system with a new Office
installation.

Anyone able to help?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

I have the same problem.
I installed a beta version of Office 2007 pro, now i have Office 2007
Enterprise Edition through my university. I believe i uninstalled
everything, including the PDF add-in, and i am still getting the same error
message

Any Suggestions?
