Cannot Install Office

I have Office 2003 Standard which will not install. The Window
installation begins go about half the I get a message in a box marke
Shortcut Problem "installation encountered a problem and cannot cont."
I've tried to go to the control panel and repair, same result. I can'
figure it out. HELP
