Cannot open Word

I keep getting this error message:
"There is insuffiect memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested
font."
I have tried restarting, make for room, clearing RAM, everything! Nothing
works! what should I do? A friend of mine said that he once ran into this
problem and all he had to do was rename a file. but he doesnt remember how to
do it now! So what should i do!!!??? help me i have a midterm-paper due
tomorrow!
