Cannot publish to the internet - Security violation message

I

Ian

Good morning everyone!

I am encountering a problem with publishing websites to
the internet and I hope someone out there can help me out.

I tried to publish updates to a couple of websites today
using Frontpage 2000, and a little box popped up that
said - "Server Error - Frontpage Security Violation"
after I typed in my username and password. I don't have
any problem accessing the websites on my machine - I can
open them up and edit them without problem, but when I
try to publish them, as soon as I enter the name and
password to the website I am publishing to, the error
message comes up. This problem has just surfaced since I
last published to these websites 2 weeks ago. The only
things that have changed on my computer are the XP
security updates from Microsoft and the installation of a
Lexmark Z65 printer driver. I tried performing a System
Restore to a previous time period, but that did not help -
perhaps I didn't go back far enough?. I called Tech
support, and the fellow there suggested that my problems
are probably being caused by a Windows XP security update.

Any ideas on what might be causing this? The Knowledge
Base wasn't too much help. I would be grateful for any
ideas that anyone has to resolve this problem.

Thanks,
Ian
