Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions' Smart HTML interpreter on this non-H

I recently set up a new web server and created a sub web
on it. When I moved an old form I made in an old web
server to this new one, I got the following error message
when I was trying to use it:

"Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions' Smart HTML
interpreter on this non-HTML page"

Frontpage server extentions are installed on the new web
server.

I found two articles about this symptom in knowledge base,
but none of them worked for me.

Any idea would be appreciated!

You need to install extensions
on the subweb, and / or "create"
the form in the subweb instead of copying
it.

Mike,

Thanks for responding. I checked the website and it
contained FAQ for the two error messages I've got! For
the "Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions' Smart HTML
interpreter on this non-HTML page" answer, it seems like
it only applies to the situation if I want to write my
form input into a file. However, I only want to send it to
an email address without loading outlook or outlook
express. Thanks again!

Rosemary,

Although this can be a problem with the extensions, it is
frequently a problem with form properties (specifically
file path destinations).

Hello there,

My problem was solved! I did an upgrade for the server
extension, set up email settings(very important),
recalculated hyperlinks, and most importantly, re-created
the form, and then it worked! I don't know which step was
the deciding factor...
