Cannot save file with a hard return on the title slide

PROBLEM REPORT

Powerpoint version now in use: 2002

Version the file was created in or opened in since, if
any: created in 2002

Windows version: XP

Other hardware involved (printer, etc): n/a

Description of problem: On title page - when I add a hard
return as part of the title (on a title slide) and press
save (or save as), the dialog box asking for file name
and file location does not come up.

What doesn't happen, but should, is: dialog box for
saving the file should come up but doesn't

Here's what I've already tried to solve the problem:
with tabs or soft returns in the title box, I am prompted
to save the document; with a hard return, the
dialog box does not appear

Hi - thanks for the details.

Just tried it here (PPT 2002 under Win2k instead of XP though) and I don't
see the same problem.
That doesn't mean it's not happening, just that I'm not thumping it in the
same place as you. ;-)

How are you adding hard returns? I tried Enter and Shift+Enter w/o
triggering the problem.
What am I doing wrong? Right? Oh, you know what I mean. <g>
