Cannot send messages

I am having problems sending message using Outlook 2002.
I am using Outlook 02 on XP workstations to access SBC
Yahoo email accounts. I am 99.9% sure the accounts are
configured correctly because they were working.

The error message I get when I test the account settings
in the account properties is: (Send test e-mail message:
Unable to send test Message. Please verify the E-mail
Address field.) Now under the Tasks tab, everything
completes except the Send test e-mail message.

When I try to send an email I get this error message:
Task 'pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com - Sending' reported error
(0x800CCC78) : Unable to send the message. Please verify
the e-mail address in your account properties. The server
responded: 530 authentication required.

The closest MKBA I found was 289945, which didn't fix the
problem. I tried configuring the accounts to "Use same
settings as my incoming mail server" and "Logon to
incoming mail server before sending mail", and neither
worked. I have installed all the available Windows and
Office XP updates. I have completely uninstalled, and
reinstalled office + updates, and same problem. I have
the same problem on workstations that I have not updated.
Sounds like virus maybe, but I have no viruses. Not sure
what to do now.

Has anyone seen this before or have any suggestions?
