cannot send or receive

When setting up multiple e-mail accounts I incurred
a "fatal error". I can no longer send or receive from any
of my accounts. When I try to compose a message, if I
click on the Accounts drop down to choose an account to
send from, I get the fatal error again.

I have tried to uninstall & re-install, but apparently am
not getting everything deleted, because it comes back with
an account listed on the Accounts drop down that I
removed. I still can't send or receive, and I still get
the fatal error.

Any ideas?
