can't access emails

Everytime I open Explorer and try to view my emails, I get the message Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem... then it re-opens Explorer again and when I try to open my email again, it does this same cycle, over and over... I've tried re-booting, but I still get the same results. Any suggestions?
