Can't access old .txt files

Help,

I've just recently installed office 2003 professional edition.....

Now when I try to access my old Word files I get this message:

cannot display the end user license agreement which must be displayed
and accepted before you can use the application. To display th
agreement,
reinstall the application.

My original Word program is Microsoft Works 6.0 / Microsoft Money 200
Standard.

My OS is Windows XP Home
