Can't compile databse - why

P

Paul Doree

Hi,

I have been working on an A2K DB for some time, and out of the blue, when I
try to compile the DB from any module I get the error message:

"Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost."

I have clicked on help - just get a blank help screen.

The DB is not on a network, just on my local C drive. I can access both the
back end and the front end of the DB (it's split with linked tables).

I've also tried the backup I took a short while ago - same problem.
Uninstalled A2K and re-installed - same problem

Can anyone help - please!!?

Paul

Sorry I forgot to mention that it looks like your backup
is corrupted as well, about the only way to check for
this error is to compact the MDB or compile the database,
this will show whether or not it is corrupted. You may be
able to open a previous version and import the newer
objects from the latest MDB as you take multiple backups
of your MDB after you import each new object.

Regards
Paul
