Can't delete scraps off to the side

Hi. I was revising a page and dragged some images off my page and onto
the scrap area (what do you call the gray space around the document
anyway?).

These images don't show up when I'm paging through the document, but
they do show on print preview and now I see they showed up on my printed
copy too! I can't delete or cut them. How do I get rid of them? Thanks.

Open the Graphics Manager (tools) (2002 or 03), are the images listed? Can you select
the images? If you can select the images, drag them down to the bottom or top of your
publication in the scratch area. Doing this should keep them from printing. The
images cannot touch your publication.
Do you have a background? The images might be there and could be the reason you can't
delete them.

Are you able to move them? If they are above or below the publication area,
they should not appear on printout.

Ok, I found the Graphics Manager (using Pub 2002) and the images are
listed, some more than once. I can select them, but when I drag and move
them, it creates a new copy. I can't delete them. They don't touch my
actual publication.

There is no background but I have a master page template of my own
design (which I have used many times before and never had this problem).

I can't actually move them. If I select and drag them, it creates a
copy. They are embedded images.

Ok, I just went and used the right click menu on each image and kept
cutting - cutting - cutting and finally they are gone.

Thanks, Ed and Mary!
