Trouble with deleting a JPEG Image

I have a Jpeg image in the gray desktop area of my document. I'm unable to
delete it. I can copy it into my publication, but can't do anything else
with it. I cannot move it. If I scroll down and view it, my document locks
up. Additionally, the image appears to flicker when highligted and an
attempt is made to delete it. The image is not part of a master page.
Help....and thanks

My document is 32 pages long and is approximately 814,379 KB in size.
Copying and pasting is not a real viable option. Neither can I just copy a
single page. This jpeg file is displayed at the bottom of whatever page I’m
on.

Actually, I’ve already tried this...but to no avail. The image stayed with
the file.

Have you tried using the Graphics Manager? On the pull down, try one of the
options. The Design Checker might be helpful as well.
