Can't enter local outline codes

I know I'm missing something simple, but this is beating me.

Dale provides guidance for backing up the Resource Pool by copying
related custom codes into local fields. While I've done this before,
today it is defying me. After creating the local custom field for RBS
and adding it to the resource sheet view, I find that I cannot enter
anything into the fields of the local field.

I must be missing something simple, but...?

Solved. (Maybe) Sorry if I'm wasting bandwidth.

I saved what I had as a file, closed Project Server, restarted it off-
line, openned the file and saw the RBS field intact next to the Local
RBS field. Copy and pase then worked.

I'm a bit interested as to why I can see the RBS field contents while
offline, but... whatever.

You just saw some of the unexpected behavior of the system. At any
rate, now you know the process works.
