can't find embedded recorded sounds

I was recording students saying some lines in a powerpoint presentation. Unfortunately...some recordings had to be redone. Eventhough I deleted recordings before re-recording...I found when I was browsing through the sound file looking for a specific recording...I also found earlier and once thought deleted sound files. I can't locate them to delete them. Powerpoint says it is in the presentation. Is there a way to locate these sound files and delete them? Some of them appear to be hidden.

To delete narration,you should select the sound icon on the slide, and then
press DELETE.
Repeat for each slide you want to delete the file from.
