Can't get browser form to open ONLY in the browser..

Hello All: I've tried all the solutions I been able to Google, MSDN and
nothing except killing the Client (Local Machine) Copy of Infopath works.

I created the form and form library, am publishing via content
type/template, and placing form in /[Site]/forms folder. Form submission
triggers a workflow. Set the library Advanced settings to "Only Browser" etc.
Set the form as Browser enabled, every thing works fine as far as
publishing, the form opening in browser fine when new form is chosen on the
library. But when users click on the form title in the notification email
from the workflow THE FORM OPENS IN THE CLIENT INFOPATH ON THE LOCAL SYSTEM.
I've tinkered with everything and the only way I've been able to get the ONLY
OPEN IN BROWSER consistently is to take the Infopath off the local machine.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance...Mack

When your using an email link you need to make sure that the link uses the
full InfoPath URL or appends some query parameters.

If your URL looks like http://server/documentlib/myform.xml you would need
to append the openin parameter as follows:

http://server/documentlib/myform.xml?openin=browser

You can also use the full URL to InfoPath as follows:

http://server/_layouts/FormServer.aspx?XmlLocation=/documentlib/myform.xml?openin=browser

This will force InfoPath server to open the form in the brower.

Take a look at my blog about form invocation for more information.

I am having the same problem mentioned in the original post but the
problem is intermittent.

Some days the records in my SP forms library will open (and close)
correctly in the browser. Other days editing a form will cause it to
open in the InfoPath application. When this occurs, I click on the
'Edit in Browser' link in the record's dropdown menu and the form
opens correctly in the browser. However, when I close the form, the
browser will not return to the Sharepoint site. It simply displays the
"Form is Closed" message.

This problem just occurred today. It was working great on Friday but
it wasn't working when I came in today. I tried it in Firefox and it
worked fine. I tried it again in IE 6 a few hours later and it
appears to be working again.

This is soooooo frustrating. I am developing an app that will be
deployed to dozens of senior level Business Owners so I need it
working consistently.

I sure would appreciate any advice, suggestions, ideas, etc.

Thank you.

Randal
