I am running Office XP. I got an error message in Outlook
and it directed me to a page to download updates.
During the download, it asked for MS Office 2000 disk 1,
which I inserted and it read it. I'm not sure why it even
needed Office 2000 disks when I have XP installed.
Then it got more bizarre. It asked for Office 2000 Disk 2,
and I got the following error message.
"The file 'Microsoft Office 2000 SR 1 Disc 2' is not a
valid installation product Microsoft Office 2000 SR 1 Disc
2."
I have copied and pasted the error message and can send it
to you if you don't believe what I say, though it's true.
I can't install the updates. What shall I do next?
