Can't open hyperlink in Outlook Express

Hello friends. My father-in-law (80+ yrs. old) can't
open any hyperlinks in e-mails. I'm trying to help, but
have no clue. Is it something in his security settings
in Outlook Express?

I know the links work because I'm sending them to him in
e-mails. I can click on my sent message and the
hyperlink works fine.
