The main form is Authors. The subform is Quotes. It is a continuous subform
with the record navigation. When I create a new Author, the quotes subform
won't allow me to paste a new quote in it. Also, there is no "*" available in
the record navigation. There is a "*" option in existing records, but none
for the new record. What's going on here? The subform is linked to the
mainform via the AUTHID. Why do I have to create a quote through code (and
how do I do it) when the quotes subform is readily available and the memo
field text box is visible and enabled and unlocked? The subform is also
enabled and unlocked. It's counter-intuitive to have to enable pasting
through code. If I wanted to prohibit creating quotes through the subform I
could easily set it to locked, or just set the text box to locked.
